Wild Bill
I was born in Miami Fl. I got a late start playing drums in LA. in the late 70's. After seeing the Allman Brothers I really got serious and gravitated towards Southern Rock by the time I had my first drum set. My first band was "Wild Bill and the Sky Ryders" with Mad Man Mike on keys and Glenn Goldfarb on Guitar. We played some classical rock, southern rock, and a lot of keyboard songs by Bob Seger.
Some of the bands I've been in since are "The Fat Chance Thursday night Jam Band" - We played lots of Southern Rock and some Classical Rock, by such bands like Marshall Tucker, Lynerd Skynerd, Charlie Daniels, Molly Hatchet, and the like. We did the 10 year anniversary for T.Y. Park, and assorted farm parties in Davie of 200 plus.
After that I got in a band named "Banging Katie Couric" that played a lot of Greatfull Dead tunes, and some alternative music from bands like Garbage, Tool, etc. We did wright over 4 sets of original tunes that had a sound like a cross between the bands we were playing from. Played a lot of sports bars and pubs.
Then there was a band called "Swamp Kats" and we played a lot of extensive blues with an upbeat drive from the greats like Eric Clapton, BB King, Robert Johnson, Rolling Stones, etc. We ended up with 12 originals and put out a CD with MP.com. It actually sold some copies but not for long. We played lots more sports bars and some super dives!
Then I was in the "3 Blind Mice" with California Phil on bass and a female guitarist. She was a strong vocalist and guitar player. We did songs from bands like AC/DC, Melitha Elthridge, Heart, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, etc.
