So between this Miriori deal, all the drama and the tag-along boyfriend we were faced with a decision. The music was great, we spend 2 months working her into our act, but The Insti-Gators finally decided to permanently cancel the Linda Bandry project.
8/20/08
Drama at the Gator Den. Come to find out, this chick Linda Bandry has some kind of artist contract with her handler agent from Miami. This control freak-promoter type named Miriori shows-up one night lookin like one of my old Aunt Hallie from Lincoln Park, Michigan. So this Miriori eventually explains like a political appointee that we can't use Linda's last name, can't link to her website, can't use pictures from linda's site, on and on with the list of what we can't do. Linda's firefightin' boyfriend starts throwin a hissy fit, calle me disrespectful because I tried to get Miriori to answer some realistic questions and he and Linda bolt for the night. As it were, that would the last time we would see either one of them.

BAD NEWS !! We’ve been bumped from the Rodney Atkins show. We all agree that adversity will make us better.
8/9/08
Photo Shoot went well should have a good quality press kit soon.
8/2/08
Our evolvement is coming along fantastically. Today we learned we got a gig in November. As a result of Gigmasters, we will open for Country Music Star Rodney Atkins, November 9th at the Homestead Air Reserve Park.
7/11/08
Another week more, forward progress, decision is in! The exploration yielded positive results. Linda and the Instigators will now prepare to take it out. We need to figure out what to call ourselves, get together set lists, arrangements, update photos, etc…….
7/3/08
It’s only been a short time but this exploration seems to going very well. We’re happy that Linda’s made good on promises of what she can bring to our band. The music is fabulous. She sings in Spanish and English. Looks like a million bucks.
6/19/08
Hold That Demo!!!!! After checkin us out a Linda Bandry has expressed an interest in a collaboration of talents. She brings some good original music and talent. Has a positive energetic attitude. She is more ‘Traditional Country’ than our current sound but is as receptive to adaptation as we are. The consensus among the Insti-Gators is positive, toward an exploration with a optimistically cautious approach. The keyboard is not on board though, so we’re back to four for our exploration. We welcome Linda to the Gator Den.
6/12/08
Interesting contact to day seems a Latin Grammy Nominee is interested in our band. HYPERLINK "http://www.latincountrymusic.com/" \t "_blank" Linda Bandry, Welcome to my Web Page. Bienvenidos a mi página Web

5/26/08
Young and old alike all shared in good time and great music at a graduation.
5/18/08
We rocked the house at the retirement celebration for a dedicated Miami Beach law enforcement officer.
5/5/08
Another bid accepted! We will entertain at a Graduation Party 5/25/08
4/30/08
Enjoyed ourselves and instigated a lot of good fun over the past month. Gigmasters seems to be getting us some exposure as we’ve been able to bid out several gigs through the coming months. Our first accepted bid gives us a private ‘Retirement’ party 5/17/08 Keep posted.
3/24/08
We’ve booked a month of Wednesday nights at Sonny’s Stardust Lounge. The oldest Country bar in Fort Lauderdale. Watch for videos/pics to be posted.
02/14/08
After rolling through a few prospective available drummers The Insti-Gators determined ‘Wild Bill’ to be the best fit for our group to move forward.
01/23/08
Hold the Demo!!!! Fundamental differences is direction and music appreciation cause a rift and our drummer parts ways, we say good-bye to Jim, but the Train keeps-a-rollin with auditions starting 1/28/08
01/06/08
We’ve joined Gigmasters HYPERLINK "http://www.gigmasters.com/liveband/TheInstigators/" www.gigmasters.com/liveband/TheInstigators/ We believe this to be a good avenue to promote and market our band to an even wider range of clients.
01/04/08
Demo circulating has begun!!! The first half dozen cd’s have been placed with expectation of getting into some ones rotation soon. Keep tuned!
12/09/07
Now we’re back at the studio (shortly) putting together that demo. Our Marketing dept. has work to do. Keep tuned as we expect to start ‘Insti-Gating’ good times and a whole lotta fun all over town before long!
12/03/07
Four solid hours of ‘Rockin’Country Classic Blues’ entertained the crowds at the annual ‘Broadview Bazaar’ supported by the City of North Lauderdale. The carnival like atmosphere provided a great backdrop for some live foot stompin’ music.
11/15/07
Rather than rush hurriedly into getting out and gigging, we’re working hard to tighten up and gel as a group. Song list is growing as near our gig with the City of North Lauderdale.
09/27/07
Decision is made on Keyboard player! After Passing over several we landed Mike, an overall good fit with the group. Collectively we’re really, really __ __ __ ‘Experienced’ now. As the auditioning was happening we were hired again to do the Annual Bazaar. It worked out well giving the five of us a goal to be ready with a good song list. The show was set for 12/03/07
08/20/08
Insti-Gators Rock the Swamp, along with our friends ‘Trucker’ at Macks Fish Camp on the 18th. What a week-end! We begin auditioning keyboard players this week.
08/15/07
Our Good Friends At Macks Fish Camp need a Band at the last minute.
08/10/07
The show at Shenanigans went well and we went back to the studio to tighten our sound, even more with the idea of putting together a demo CD and working on more originals. We still had the desire for keyboards, so in an effort to get our band to have the complete full sound we desire we began auditioning players late August ‘07’.
07/15/07
What a difference a year makes! As we fumbled our way through the summer and fall of '06' things were working out well with Mike as we went through guitar players. David G. hooked up with us for several months and we did a couple of shows in November and December. But by the first of the year we were looking for a guitar player again. It can be very trying on members as this process unfolds. We hooked up, in May, with a keyboard player Brendon and then found J Crrotteau, after a few weeks into working with them and issues arose with Mike. So we needed a drummer. The auditions went on for weeks, Brendon (Keyboards)moved away. Finally we hooked up, in June, with Jim Davenport. (Drummer) It's now Mid July '07' we’re back to a four piece Band. New members bring change and change is in the name. As a new group with a new name we will continue to love making music and strive to have a whole lotta fun doing it. The four of us collaborated long and hard (about 15minutes) to become.

'THE INSTI-GATORS'
Although our time together has been but a flash, collectively we have been playin over a hundered years. And we believe to have found chemistry that will have sparked what we intend build into something extra special. We are going public 7/17 in an open mike venue. But only the first of what will be many great performances.
06/30/2006
Well, I suppose it’s time for an update. December 3, 2005 Just Red Longnecks played out at Macks Fish Camp, forever etched in our minds as "Porky's in the Swamp" We all had a fantastic time the crowd was warm, receptive and lively as we played three sets for their enjoyment. As it turned out however, it was a bittersweet performance. It seemed that the rigorous routine of rehearsals and late night gigs was taking a toll on Tom. Unfortunately, he stepped aside and we were once again left searching for a dynamic Lead guitarist. The next two-three months proved challenging. We auditioned several, many, well quite a few players seeking that perfect fit. These months provided ample opportunity for Mark (bass), David (drums), and myself (rhythm guitar) to group tighter harmonizing our vocals and working out the detailed arrangements for our sets. We always did our best to keep commitment to the enjoyment of making music number one priority. Our quest for the right lead player was progressing along. Then about the end of April 06 David tired of being the drummer. He had aspirations of becoming the guitarist we had loosely considered adding prior to Porky's, and the subsequent loss of our lead player. Now we were a bassist and two rhythm players seeking a drummer and dynamic lead guitar. At first this challenge was met rather quickly. By the middle of May we had both a new drummer Jeff, and a lead player Dan. We then booked a week-end gig for the middle of June 06 as an opening act for the Shenanigans We went about rehearsals. This proved to test the commitment and priority placement of Just Red Longnecks in the lives of individual band members. Although, our original group was constant, the rehearsals were not always with the full band. Long story short, the Shenanigan' gig was another fantastic performance, and truly exciting time for the band. This despite the fact, our newest members bailed out at the last minute.
We were able to shuffle Dave back behind the kit and managed to two days notice to line-up two different lead players for the show. (Thanks Tom) So here we go again. We worked the classified ads in all the musician site we could think of, posted ads in local music stores and of course spread by word-of-mouth. All in efforts to find drummer and guitarist for what we've come to believe is a unique niche in music. Massive appeal to broad spectrum of people and tastes across all music genres. It seemed most players are locked into a particular style. Though some are tremendously talented, they lack certain ability to crossover and still maintain the feeling. The premise and fundamental basis of a Red Longneck (known as an Insti-Gator after 07/07) is a love making MUSIC. Regardless of genre. This love is reflected in a unique personal style that all musicians develop and cultivate over the years. By July 06 we found what we hope to be a steady drummer in Mike. There is also promise in a very talented lead player we currently are working with. We recently received notice that by-mid July Dave will be moving on. As original Longnecks Mark and I welcome Mike behind the drums.

Up to now From the beginning
Sometime in the early fall 2004, David Jeff and Russell (Jeff's son), began regular weekly jam sessions with three guitars. They were also regulars at the "BEST" Karaoke show in Broward county. A Saturday afternoon show put on by Fire and Ice productions. HYPERLINK "www.fireandiceproductions.com" www.fireandiceproductions.com As the three progressed they felt others should have a chance to hear their special blend and brand of music. They brainstormed and agreed to be known as ‘Three Red Longnecks’. As word got out an opportunity came about through Fire and Ice for them to perform at a benefit for the March of Dimes. Having about six weeks advance notice, and after discussions among the three, it was decided to add a bass and have David get behind the drums. After a few sessions the original bass player backed out, realizing that the commitment to the Longnecks was too much for him at that time. With two weeks before the benefit, what would the Longnecks do? Revert back to being just ‘Three Red Longnecks’? Having promised a four-piece band for the benefit, Jeff asked big brother Mark if he would step in and fill the role at bass. In those two weeks ‘Three Red Longnecks’ transformed becoming ‘Just Red Longnecks’. The band gelled immediately coming together on numerous songs that were fun to play, easy to listen to and recognizable to anyone. We played the March of Dimes in April 2005. After that Mark was asked to remain in the band and we discussed our goals, he accepted and we've moved forward. As ‘Three Red Longnecks’ there were already original songs in the mix, Mark soon added his and got us booked for The 816 Reunion Show, which we played in May 2005. Soon after that, another charity event was booked as ‘Just Red Longnecks’ moved the summer 2005 playing at what we affectionately call the Dragonfly Swamp Thing, July 2005. At this point, although Russell immensely enjoyed being in the band, the generation gap and commitment issues caused him to step aside as a player. He still works hard behind the scene doing audio tech and engineering, a service greatly appreciated. Tom, a long time friend of David and Jeff was then asked to sit in and jam with the band. We were soon booked into a local Alehouse for a summertime "Ribfest" performance August 2005. As fall came about ‘Just Red Longnecks’ moved their practice from Jeff's backroom to a much roomier studio setting graciously provided and tremendously appreciated. The studio setting has allowed us time to work on a little recording and continue to grow together as a band. We are at present taking several gigs under consideration, as well as possibly another guitarist to make us five.
